Blauburgunder Riserva Mazon 2021

Auf 450 m.ü.d.M. oberhalb von Neumarkt befindet sich die Lage Mazon. Bekannt für ihre außergewöhnlichen Blauburgunder. In einer der kleinsten Parzelle, die nur 1460 m² misst, wachsen die Trauben für diesen Wein. Die Gärung erfolgt im Stahltank, bei welcher die Maische vierzehn Tage in Kontakt mit dem Most bleibt. Dabei wird Sie immer wieder mit dem Most feucht gehalten um Frucht und Tannin aus

den Schalen zu extrahieren. Danach folgt eine 16-monatige Reifung im Tonneau Fass.

Es ist die Erstabfüllung dieses Weines, welchen man folgendermaßen beschreiben kann:

Helles Rubinrot mit leicht aufhellendem Rand und granatroten Reflexen. In der Nase nach reifen Erd- und Himbeeren, dann leicht nach getrockneten Rosenblättern und Gewürznelke. Am Gaumen frisch und saftig, mit gut integriertem Gerbstoff und mittellangem Abgang.

2021 Mazon Pinot Noir Reserve

Above the town of Neumarkt/Egna, at 450 meters above sea level, lies Mazon/Mazzone an area known for their exceptional Pinot Noirs. The grapes for this specific wine are grown on one of the smallest plots of land, measuring only 1,460 square meters. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, where the mash remains in contact with the must for 14 days. In doing so,

the mash is constantly kept moist with the must, ultimately extracting fruit and tannins from the skins. This is followed by a 16-month maturation period in a tonneau barrel.

This is the first of its kind to be bottled an can be described as following:

Bright ruby red with a slightly brightened rim and garnet hues. On the nose, ripe strawberries

and raspberries followed by dried rose petals and clove. On the palate, fresh and juicy with

well-integrated tannins and a medium-long finish.
